Due to fog on Friday morning near Mahavankhor of Campierganj area in Gorakhpur, a speeding bus crushed a young man riding a bike. The young man died on the spot in the accident. After the incident, the driver fled with the bus. Police sends dead body for post-mortem.
According to the information, Santosh Chauhan (28), resident of Navapar village, had set out to go somewhere on his bike. He had just reached the highway near Amraha when he was crushed by a speeding uncontrolled bus coming from Gorakhpur. Fog is being said to be the reason for the accident.
After the accident, nearby people gathered and after informing the police, they were preparing to take the injured youth to the hospital, but he died. People took him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After identification, the police called the family members of the deceased youth and informed them about the incident.
Elderly woman injured in bike collision dies
An elderly woman, resident of Moglan Sirsia alias Bharwalia of Gulriha area, was injured in a road accident. The injured was admitted to BRD Medical College, who died during treatment in the night. According to the information, Rampatiya (65), wife of late Ramavadh Maurya, resident of Bharwaliya village, had gone to Gulharia market for some work on the afternoon of 14th December, and was injured after being hit by a bike near Hanuman temple.
